Taiwan Design 2025–2026 Awarded by Red Dot: Special exhibition showcases Taiwan’s design strength

Outstanding design from Taiwan takes centre stage in “Taiwan Design 2025–2026 Awarded by Red Dot”, a special exhibition presented by Red Dot, the Taiwan Design Research Institute and the Taiwan Design Museum. From 11 August to 4 October 2026, the exhibition at the Taiwan Design Museum in Taipei will present award-winning works from all three competitions of the Red Dot Design Award: Product Design, Brands & Communication Design and Design Concept.

The exhibition presents Taiwan as an internationally visible design location and as part of the global Red Dot community. It shows how Taiwanese companies, studios, professionals, emerging talents and students translate today‘s demands into design – from technology and digital entertainment to sustainability, culture and social relevance.

Taiwan’s design strength united in one exhibition

The exhibits include works by internationally renowned companies and brands such as ASUS, Acer, BenQ, MSI, Cooler Master, GIGABYTE and Thermaltake. Taiwan’s strength is particularly evident in the new Gaming and Streaming category, which was introduced for the first time in the Red Dot Award: Product Design in 2026. Products such as ROG Falcata, GIGABYTE GAMING AERO X16 and Master Meter, as well as gaming laptops, components and peripheral devices from other Taiwanese manufacturers, illustrate how closely performance, interaction, usability and design quality are connected in this field.

Alongside established companies, the exhibition also highlights young creative positions. The Red Dot: Junior Prize for CICADA’S TUNE, as well as numerous works from universities and programmes for emerging talent, demonstrate the extent to which Taiwan’s design landscape is shaped by new perspectives, experimental approaches and cultural engagement.

With the new special exhibition, the Taiwan Design Museum builds on last year’s successful presentation, which featured around 180 award-winning works. Due to its great success, the exhibition space has been significantly expanded this year.
